What is Rz® simulated diamond?

Rz® is a diamond simulant. It is not a diamond, not a lab-grown diamond and not a natural diamond. It is a man-made jewellery material designed to give a diamond-like appearance at a lower price.

Rz® compared with lab-grown diamond

A lab-grown diamond is crystalline carbon and is graded as a diamond by an independent gemmological laboratory. Rz® has a different composition and should not be described, graded or valued as a diamond. The two products serve different needs:

• Choose a lab-grown diamond when you want a real diamond, an independent grading report and diamond specifications such as cut, colour, clarity and carat.
• Choose an Rz® simulant when appearance and a lower purchase price matter more than owning a diamond.
